QUICK 6 PREMIER 7-on-7 PASSING CHALLENGE

On Sunday, March 23, 2014, The 3rd annual “QUICK 6 PREMIER 7-on-7 PASSING CHALLENGE” took center stage at Sheldon High School in Sacramento, California. 7-on-7 Football events are very prevalent in the Midwest and Southeastern United States for many high school football athletes, but the West Coast has few events that can compare… until now. THE “QUICK 6 PREMIER 7-on-7 PASSING CHALLENGE” has become not only Northern California’s elite 7-on-7 event, but it has been called one of the nation’s top qualifiers for the NFA 7v7 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP which takes place at the prestigious IMG-MADDEN SPORTS ACADEMY in Bradenton, Florida.

Sixteen teams from all over Northern California competed intensely for the QUICK 6 crown. Many teams are club teams that are made up of highly talented high school football skill players. Many of these players are D1 and D2 college prospects showing amazing skill level in passing, receiving and defending. High schools like De La Salle, Franklin (Elk Grove, CA), Amador Valley, Vanden, Whitney (Lincoln, CA), Vallejo, Kennedy (Richmond) and St Mary’s (Stockton, CA) were represented at this tournament. National Sponsors like MUSCLE MILK, BODY ARMOR SUPER DRINK, GATORADE were also in attendance supporting the players with hydration and recovery drink products.

There were many highly contested matches in this double-elimination battle, but only one could hold up the trophy and the end and that was TEAM KENION #1 from San Ramon, CA. Head coach Nathan Kenion was all smiles as his team received the 4-foot high trophy along with medals, Q6 FOOTBALL dry-fit shirts and gift bags. TEAM KENION #1’s Zack Baker (Quarterback) and Malik Beachum (Defensive Back) were the tournament’s offensive and defensive MVPs, respectively. KENION TRAINING #1 also received and automatic bid in the NFA 7v7 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.

The next QUICK 6 event will take place on April 27, 2014 at Sheldon High School in Sacramento. It is the “UNDER-THE-LIGHTS 7-on-7 NOR-CAL CHAMPIONSHIP”. The top two teams from this event will be invited to play in the NFA 7v7 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP in Bradenton, Florida. Please visit www.QUICK 6.org for more video highlights and photo
