When Rugby NorCal’s Executive Director, Mark Carney says Rugby is an amazing sport, he’s talking from experience. SportStars has chronicled Carney’s collegiate history right up to current times as he brings his love of the sport to NorCal’s young athletes.

Lately the NorCal Rugby mantra is if you want to play better football, learn rugby. Why? Because the tackling techniques taught for Rugby hone your skill set better than traditional football drills.

But don’t take Marks word for it. “[Rugby] certainly helpes us a ton in our efforts to improve our tackling and moke our style of play better and tougher. We are tackling better than ever becasue of the things we’ve learned.”
