Popular Youth Football Tournament Preps For 10th Year
Although the California Bowl is a still few months away, the planning for the 10th Anniversary of this amazing event is fully underway. Placer Valley Tourism is thrilled to be teaming up with A2K Sports and Entertainment to bring this incredible youth football event back to Placer Valley on Nov. 24-26.
In the youth football world, this tournament is known simply as “Cali Bowl” and is considered the No. 1 tournament on the West Coast for players as young as 5 and up to 14 years old with five different divisions — from Mighty Mites to Midgets.
Brent Gray, who serves as the tournament director and has been at the helm since Cali Bowl’s inception, has trouble concealing his enthusiasm when asked about hitting this milestone.
“We are more than excited about hosting this year’s event. … Wow, 10 years!
“We started with six teams, nothing fancy, and now fast-forward to 2017 where Cali Bowl has evolved into a tournament that teams plan for all year to attend. This year we have teams from Florida, Utah, Colorado and Nevada.”
Games will be played at fields in Roseville and will have play-by-play announcers as well as live streaming for all the fans that can’t make the trip out to California. Plus this year Cali Bowl has plans to add Hype Night which will take place on Saturday, Nov. 25 with special guests, entertainers and even former NFL players!
Make sure to follow Cali Bowl on Facebook, the handle is @calibowl.info, and go to the website at www.calibowl.info for all the latest updates and information. Mark those calendars for Thanksgiving weekend and come celebrate 10 years of Cali Bowl!
