Tariq Bracy Milpitas Football Trojans Running Back
The Trojans running back was quite simply on a mission. When his team traveled to Campolindo-Moraga for the CIF 4-A northern regional playoff game on Dec. 9.
Since he and his twin brother, Tyree — the team’s quarterback — have been at the varsity level, Milpitas had gone 0-3 in Central Coast Section championship games and 0-2 in regional playoffs games.
The latter included a 27-24 defeat in Moraga to close the 2015 season. So Bracy’s mission was simple: Don’t be denied. And, he wasn’t.
Additionally, Tariq rushed 36 times for 311 yards and four touchdowns as Milpitas won 52-38 to advance to the CIF 4-A State Bowl Championship against Southwest-El Centro on Dec. 16.
It was an especially good week for Bracy as he also officially committed to Notre Dame.
Also, Bracy plays cornerback on defense, a position he may be more likely to play for the Fighting Irish.
