You’d be hard-pressed to have a much better June than Luke Dugger had.
Just weeks after graduating from Davis high school, Dugger shot a 5-under-par 67 at the Yolo Fliers Club in Woodland to qualify for a spot in the USGA Junior Amateur Championship.
One week later he posted a 5-under score of 139 over 36 holes to win the 51st Sacramento County Junior Championships! And he did so by two strokes over Brady Siravo.
Dugger will be hoping July is just as sweet when he tees it up at the U.S. Junior Amateur Championships at Inverness Golf Club in Toledo, Ohio. The tournament runs from July 17-20.
He will play collegiately for Holy Names in the fall.
