Volleyball players looking to make their mark on the fall season and enhance their competitive edge can now register for NCVA’s High-Performance program. Athletes get to compete with the best athletes across the U.S. and the world with this program that is held abroad.

The North California Volleyball Association (NCVA) announced its invitation to attend the Rebisco League in the Philippines. The NCVA is accepting two teams per age group in the boys U15 to U19 divisions, as well as girls in the U13 to U20 division.

However, only one girls’ U19 team will be selected. Tryouts for the U19 Girls’ team are set to take place on Sunday, September 8, 2024 @theGrounds in Roseville, CA. Plan for check-in at noon, and tryouts to run from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Those participating in the High-Performance program will receive coaching and instructors from the best in the sport to increase their skill level and technique. Those players in the High-Performance abroad program also will have exposure to coaches and scouts, which is a great incentive for club teams that have low exposure at home in the States. This is great for those looking to be scoured for colleges.

The NCVA High-Performance teams will compete as part of the Rebisco League indoor tournament at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig, Philippines.

The Rebisco League tournament takes place from November 27 to November 30, 2014. As a result, parents and players should keep in mind that November 25 is the departure date and December 1, 2024 is the return date.

Volleyball players are responsible for making their own flight accommodations. However, NVCA is providing a group rate for those who fly out of San Francisco and into Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

The cost for the Rebisco Volleyball League NCVA High-Performance program is $1100 per player. Airfare is not included, but the cost includes housing, all ground transition, three meals per day, and the cost of the tournament.

Parents will need to pay both their own airfare and an additional fee for hotel, transportation, and meals.

The NCVA has the goal to select its teams to go abroad for this tournament by Friday, September 24, 2024, so that there is plenty of time to plan for travel. Volleyball players selected will be notified via email they have been accepted into the abroad program and will have 48 hours to confirm their spot. The player will then be posted on the website to reveal their confirmed placement.

No financial aid or scholarships are offered, but full payment for the trip and program is due on October 11, 2024.

Alternatives will be announced in cases where players are unable to travel.

Volleyball players interested in competing abroad can register on the NCVA website.
