Lake Chabot Regional Park in Castro Valley will celebrate its 50th anniversary on Saturday, June 4, with an all-day festival of fun and free activities. Events from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. will include a fishing derby, paddle boat races, lake tours on the Chabot Queen, nature hikes, and live music. Loaner fishing gear will be available for kids. There will be food and drink for sale.
