A Must-Listen for High School and College Athletes Pushing for Greatness

A new podcast just dropped that every high school and college athlete looking to level up needs to have in their rotation.

Hosted and co-created by CBS Sports Injury Analyst and elite performance expert Marty Jaramillo, Game Recognized Game features compelling conversations to pick the brains of professional athletes, sports media giants, cultural leaders, and trailblazing business leaders and entrepreneurs.

“Achieving the pinnacle of performance is not luck. It’s built, tested, and earned,” said Jaramillo.  “After over three decades working with elite athletes, teams, entertainment greats, and business icons, I wanted to create a space for real conversations that bring together iconic voices from across industries to explore the essence of greatness: what drives, defines, and sustains it. Game Recognizes Game is that platform, and I found great partners in the NOW Studio and Manifest Media, who saw the vision and understood its purpose. Together, we built something meaningful, beyond stats or soundbites.”

Jaramillo, a name college athletes will recognize from his appearances breaking down injuries during NFL and NCAA broadcasts, steps behind the mic to lead raw, real discussion with legends including Super Bowl champ Justin Tuck, ESPN icon Chris Fowler, and Hall of Fame coach Rick Pitino. Also joining the mix are culture-shaping figures like actor John Leguizamo, SoulCycle co-founder Julie Rice, and BODYARMOR co-founder Mike Repole.

Launched on April 25 across all major platforms and YouTube, this weekly podcast currently has two episodes live.

Episode 1: Justin Tuck

The former NFL star and two-time Super Bowl champion talks about leadership qualities, how to stay mentally tough, and life after football. Tuc’s story is one for the underdog as he explains how being underestimated became his superpower.

Episode 2: Chris Fowler

The legendary ESPN broadcaster reflects on decades in the spotlight, and recalls iconic moments in college football. Fowler reveals what it’s been like to have a front seat at witnessing greatness and how to strive for longevity and perform at the highest level under pressure.

Game Recognizes Game is a masterclass in mindset — hosted by a Jaramillo who brings his over 30 years of experience as a Sports Physical Therapist, Certified Athletic Trainer, and Strength & Conditioning Specialist to bring deep insight to sports conversations.

“Achieving the pinnacle of performance is not luck. It’s built, tested, and earned,” says Jaramillo. “This podcast is about uncovering what greatness really looks like — in the gym, on the field, and in life.”
