Kryptonite did not panic and drew upon their years of training & experience to get back in the game. the first goal was scored by Brook Rittmann tying the game at 1-1. Adaurie Dayak would get the go ahead goal off a corner assisted by Ebony Ezeji & Regan Smithers who battled for the ball in the box.

Kryptonite kept threatening with strong attack led by Kelly Smith, Stephanie Pawek, Brooke Rittmann, Autumn Smithers & Adaurie Dayak as they created several scoring opportunities. The midfield responsibilities were orcastrated by Amber Lennier, Mireya Magana, Madison Souza, Kate Lipmann & Jessica Hufford.

Kryptonite known for their tough defense was anchored by captains Grace Cabri & Rachel Leonard, Regan Smithers Allie Lau and Ebony Ezeji all played great and Goal Keeper Haley Crook came up with some big saves.

Central Cal Alliance put some heavy pressure on but could not keep Mireya Magana from getting the game winning goal as she weaved through the midfield and blasted a shot over ACC goal keeper in the second half. ACC would get a late goal but was not enough to defeat the now three time state cup champions.

Kryptonite won State Cup in 2011, Premier State Cup in 2012 and State Cup again in 2013 will get the opportunity to represent Northern California as they go back to the National Championship for a third straight year!

In 2011 West Coast Kryptonite won the National Championship held in Boise Idaho and finished 2nd in 2012 in Waukegan Illinois. Kryptonite will be heading to Aurora Colorado in July with their younger sister U15 team West Coast Wild to try one last time for a National title. Norcal has provided team Kryptonite with some lasting memories and a great platform to compete.

Kryptonite boast 11 graduating seniors with a youth career to remember as 10 of those seniors will be heading off to college later this year on athletic scholarships. That is over 90% of West Coast Kryptonite graduating seniors continuing on in college with athletic scholarships.

Kryptonite has been one of the most dominating girls youth soccer teams in the country over the past decade. Kryptonite has tallied over 25 tournament championships, 3 state cup championships, and a national championship in their youth career.

 Coach Dayak who has guided their youth career says, “it has been a pleasure and honor coaching these fine young women, they will always be a part of me and me of them, I can’t wait to watch them continue on with their college careers and glad that their outstanding soccer abilities has help them get a college education and know that they can achieve whatever goal they set on or off the field. West Coast Soccer has been a way of life for us here and the Kryptonite will always be a part of our club history!”
