SportStars Magazine: Is this the biggest championship you’ve ever won?

Taylor Bromley: Yeah, just with the past history, past champs. A couple people have gone on to win the US Open. This was the 83rd year. It’s been around so long, there’s a lot of history; it’s the biggest tournament in Northern California

SSM: Before you sank the winning putt, what was running through your mind?

TB: I definitely knew I wanted to make it there to end it. I knew that was my chance to make it. I had to take advantage of that.

SSM: Who was that guy cheering loudly when you won? (See the video of his winning putt at SportStarsOnline.com)

TB: (Laughs) That was (Foothill senior) Nicolo Galetti. We’re friends. He was there watching.

SSM: Where can we find you next?

TB: I just qualified last Monday (July 9) for the NCGA Amateur Championship at Spyglass Hill August 13-17.
