Rio Linda’s Abraham Banks Honored as SportStar of the Week!
Typically the change-of-pace back to fellow Knights running back Cam Skattebo, Abraham Banks took a headlining role all to himself on Friday, Oct. 4.
The tailback rushed for 284 yards and four touchdowns against Ponderosa-Shingle Springs, and the Knights needed every one of them as they eked out a 37-34 win. Banks scored on runs of 92, 36 and 34 yards. He also added a one-yard dive.
The win improved Rio Linda to 5-1 overall and 1-0 in Foothill Valley League play. Banks now has 914 yards and 12 touchdowns through six games.
