Volleyball athletes will soon get to serve up some serious gameplay to show off their skills when one of the biggest boys volleyball events on the Northern California junior circuit returns this December.
The North California Volleyball Association (NCVA) announced that the No Dinx/NCVA Boys Far Westerns National Qualifier is scheduled for December 12–13.
The premiere boys tournament will be held at Capital Sports Center (CSC) in McClellan Park.
The tournament will bring together club teams across six age divisions — 14s, 15s, 16s, 17s, 18 Open, and 18 USA — plus 12s and 13s competing in the No Dinx division. Competition will be split across three tiers of strength: Open, USA, and No Dinx, with Open and USA divisions in the 14s and 17s age groups combining for pool and bracket play.
This qualifier carries real weight beyond the weekend. USAV bid allocations are on the line, with spots up for grabs across every age division — including multiple bids in the 16s and 18s USA divisions. Open division first-place finishers in each age group also earn free entry into USAV’s National Championships.
Team check-in begins Friday, December 11th from 4–8 PM, with AM Wave teams required to check in that evening to maintain eligibility. Matches get underway Saturday with an 8 AM first serve for the AM wave and 3 PM for the PM wave.
The event will also feature a recruiting presence, with NCSA College Recruiting on-site conducting height and jump measurements alongside recruiting assessments, and University Athlete providing real-time player lookup tools for attending college coaches.
Guest wristbands are on sale now, with kids 12 and under admitted free. Registration for teams remains open through December 1st.
