Basketball players looking to showcase their skills can register their team for the 2024 Hi-Top Hoops Las Vegas Legacy tournament series this summer.

Set during the Division 1 “live” evaluation period for college coaches, players have the opportunity to hit the court and compete during this upcoming tournament series from July 18 to July 21 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

This four day tournament is a great way for middle school and high school athletes to leave a legacy with the entire basketball world watching.

Boys can participate starting in the 9U/3rd grade up to 17U/11th grade. For girls, players must be in the 11U/5th grade two 17U/11 grade. Teams just must bring proof of their age and grade. Unsigned seniors are welcome.

Boys will play in the summer tournament from July 19 to 21, whereas girls will play from July 19-22 at the Doolittle Community Center (DCC).

How To Register For This Basketball Tournament

Registration costs $550 for the Hi-Top Hoops tournament, with a four-game guarantee. Players on the championship team in each division will receive awards individually, and a team award is given to the overall Las Vegas Legacy champion.

Legacy basketball tournament

High school rules apply at the tournament with a stop clock on all dead balls. The games consist of two 16-minute halves for all divisions with a one-minute halftime. Overtime is two minutes.

3rd grade through 6th grade boys’ teams and all girls’ teams will use 28.5-inch balls. All others use regular-sized balls, and teams must supply their own.

According to the rules, seeding from each pool will be determined by a win-loss record in pool play. If there is a tie, head-to-head competitions to determine seed. If three teams are tied, a point system comes into effect. There is a maximum of +15 for a win in the pool and –15 for a loss.

Hi-Tip Hoops’ Legacy tournament is one of seven tournaments created by the organization’s founders Hal Pastner and Anthony Manor. Pastner and Manor have spent decades organizing youth basketball tournaments to showcase skills for youth players.

There are almost 500 current and former NBA players who have competed in a Hi-Top Hoops basketball tournament. These include Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Durant, Patrick Ewing Jr., Blake Griffin, James Harden, Jason Kidd, and more.

Tournaments are important stepping-stones for youth players and provide a chance to improve their skills, connect with others, and compete at a high level. Attending the Legacy tournament includes basketball coaches and assistants, providing a great opportunity to be scouted. Along with recruiting are also free skill development seminars to help take your game to the next level.
