The first annual Calaveras Junior Open is set to make its debut at Greenhorn Creek Resort, with the first round to be competed on Monday, August 10, 2015. The tournament, part of the Junior Golf Association of Northern California’s (JGANC) schedule, will conclude at nearby Saddle Creek Resort the following day.

“We’re excited to be hosting these talented junior golfers and offer them a chance to compete on a well-manicured layout that will certainly test every club in their bag,” said Allan Ramorini, Head Golf Professional at Greenhorn Creek.

The JGANC is a non-profit organization organized in 1970, that continues to provide more than 100 competitive, affordable junior golf tournaments for boys and girls, ages 7 to 18, locally, regionally, and nationally. Notable alumni of the JGANC who went on to play in the professional ranks include the likes of Scott McCarron, Matt Bettencourt, Kevin and David Sutherland, Johnny Miller, Julie Inkster and Paula Creamer.

For more information on the golf stars of the future, contact the JGANC at info@jganc.com or attend the Calaveras Junior Open at Greenhorn Creek to witness their talent in person on the challenging Robert Trent Jones, Jr. layout in California’s Gold Country.
