Walnut Creek Aquanuts Are Dancin’ in the Creek!

18The Walnut Creek Aquanuts is a world-renowned synchronized swimming club based in Walnut Creek, CA. Our mission is to develop athletes from novice to elite, building both bodies and minds and instilling skills that will serve our swimmers throughout their lifetime.

Over 100 athletes, coaches and parent volunteers collaborate each year to put on the Walnut Creek Aquanuts Fall Synchronized Swimming Show which takes place over Labor Day weekend. This year will mark the 46^th anniversary of this iconic show which showcases synchronized swimming in a theatrical format complete with lights, props, a monumental 3-D stage and glittering costumes. This year, for the first time ever, we will feature a Jumbo screen as a back drop to enhance the special effects as well as provide opportunities to feature sponsorship and advertising messages.

The show is created over a 2 month period leading up to Labor Day. Head Coach Kim Probst and Olga Kouznetsova choreograph and customize routines based on highlights from the competitive season. The athletes train 4 hours a day and more to be sure they perfect their routines. In addition, 100’s of parent volunteer hours are spent building sets and re-purposing the intricate costumes to fit the current theme.

The Fall Show runs Thursday through Sunday Labor Day Weekend Sept 3-6. Doors open at 7:00pm, and the performance begins at 8:00pm. There will be food vendors, a snack bar, and beer and wine available for purchase. Tickets will be sold at the door, and online tickets can be bought here. Adults are $20, Senior (62+)/Teens(13-17) are $15, and Youth(5-12) are $10. Plus, purchase raffle tickets to win a chance to drive a BMW for a “weekend getaway”! Two winners will be drawn each night.
