The NCVA offers a variety of opportunities for every athlete, no matter age or background, to play volleyball. Within the structure of USA Volleyball, the NCVA has grown significantly over the last 32 years into the 4th largest region, nationwide. The dream of the NCVA was to build a region that would support a large contingent of players. Based on a league system, the ultimate goal was to challenge players to the rise to the top of the USAV Junior National Championship system, the NCVA Power League was born. In 2016, SportStars partnered with NCVA to grow and expand upon the traction NCVA has made as an official mouthpiece to the athletic community throughout California. The magazines present player rankings, pre- and post-season reviews and regular content covering volleyball.

San Francisco Giants Triple-A affiliate River Cats partner with SportStars each May to honor more than 600 of the metro area’s best and brightest student-athletes. Catch our 10th Annual Event video!
The All-City Team Awards boys and girls high school athletes as well as Players-of-the-Year for each sport and a male (Art Savage Award) and female (“V” Award) athlete of the year. Athletes are honored and celebrated in a grand pre-game ceremony by the River Cats management and SportStars staff.

Celebrating 20 years in 2019! The West Coast Jamboree is the nation’s largest girls high school basketball tournament. With 160 teams across a dozen venues covering the San Francisco East Bay Area, elite teams from throughout the nation compete each Christmas break. The West Coast Jamboree is a 501c3 non profit offering scholarship program for student-athletes.
