SportStars joins with the Sacramento River Cats to honor the Sac-Joaquin sections best athletes of 2015-2016.
If an athlete accomplished something on a field, court or track in the Sac-Joaquin Section over the last six months — and it was noteworthy — then there’s a greater than likely chance that athlete is being recognized as part of the River Cats All-City Team.
SportStars Magazine has partnered with the Sacramento River Cats for the fourth straight year to select and honor the best high school sports talent in the Greater Sacramento area and beyond. And when it came to choosing the deserving athletes for the 2015-16 season, it was no easy feat. The banner athletics year for the SJS included team state champions, individual state champions and the No. 1 girls basketball team in the nation for most of the winter (Saint Mary’s-Stockton).
At close to 500 athletes, this is the largest River Cats All-City Team to date. We invite you to check out the entire team, in addition to feature on this year’s V Award winner (Female Athlete of the Year), and Art Savage Award winner (Male Athlete of the Year).
