Senior Second Baseman Serves As Offensive Catalyst For Spartans Team Off To A 14-1 Start •
In three games during the week of April 8-14, Nick Fusari paced the NorCal No. 1-ranked Spartans by going 5-for-10 at the plate with a double, triple, two walks and three runs scored.
The second baseman also stole three bases as De La Salle picked up East Bay Athletic League wins over California-San Ramon, Foothill-Pleasanton (NorCal No. 9) and Livermore. The Spartans enter the third week of April with a 14-1 record. On the season, Nick Fusari is batting .438 with 21 hits, 19 runs scored, 10 stolen bases and four RBI.
De La Salle is attempting to win its fifth North Coast Section title in six seasons in 2019. If successful, the Spartans would be the first NCS baseball program to win four consecutive titles since Campolindo-Moraga won four straight from 2010-2013.
