The San Ramon All-Stars won the PGA Jr. League Regional at Boulder Creek Golf Club to advance to the PGA Jr. League Championship presented by National Car Rental at Grayhawk Golf Club (Scottsdale, Arizona) Oct. 11-14.

Below are the final results, along with the team roster denoting returning players.

1^st Place: San Ramon All-Stars (2-0-1 Record, 23.5 Points)

2^nd Place: San Diego County League 1 All-Stars (2-0-1 Record, 23 Points)

3^rd Place: Grayhawk All-Stars (1-2-0 Record, 17.5 Points)

4^th Place: The Island Pacific All-Stars (0-3-0 Record, 8 Points)

LOCAL PGA JR. LEAGUE ALL-STAR TEAM TO COMPETE IN REGIONAL AT BOULDER CREEK GOLF CLUB IN BOULDER CITY, NEVADA, SEPT. 14-15

The San Ramon All-Stars (a co-ed team of junior golfers, ages 13 and under) won the Nor Cal PGA Jr. League Section Championship. The event was presented by National Car Rental Aug. 17-18 at Haggin Oaks to advance to the Regional.

Winner of Regional advances to PGA Jr. League Championship presented by National Car Rental Oct. 11-14

They will compete against three All-Star teams from Scottsdale, AZ, Encinitas, CA, and Kapolei, HI, for the opportunity to advance to the PGA Jr. League Championship at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Oct. 11-14.

All-Star teams competing in the Regional at PGA National include:

• San Ramon All-Stars (San Ramon, California) – Players are all from San Ramon Golf Club (San Ramon, California).
• San Diego County League 1 All-Stars All-Stars (Encinitas, California) – Players are all from Encinitas Ranch Golf Course (Encinitas, California).
• Grayhawk All-Stars (Scottsdale, Arizona) – Players are all from Grayhawk Golf Club (Scottsdale, Arizona).
• Island Pacific All-Stars (Kapolei, Hawaii) – Players are all from Island Pacific Golf Academy (Kapolei, Hawaii).

Following the regular season, 10-player All-Star teams are formed from a combination of players in each league.

Teams move through Section Championships in August to earn a spot at one of 12 Regionals held across the country in September. Twelve Regional champions advance to the PGA Jr. League Championship presented by National Car Rental, which has been held at Grayhawk Golf Club since 2016 and will stay through 2022.

Kids wear numbered jerseys and play on teams with friends, competing in a two-person scramble format that builds confidence and encourages sportsmanship.
