Lee did earn second place in the all-around, but not all her events went so smoothly. Lee fell on the balance beam immediately after mounting. However, she was able to finish the routine beautifully until losing balance again although she did not fall off. It was a very shaky performance for the Olympian.
Joscelyn Roberson Floor Event
Roberson was named an alternate, but she excelled in her floor event. She got some serious air and nailed her landings to prove she deserves to be on the team.
Jordan Chiles Ends In Tears
Chilies performed with excellence, especially during Day 2 on her floor exercise routine. She leaped and soared to get a 14.100 score.
She also nailed her vault routine to earn her spot on Team USA.
Jade Carey
Carey blew the crowd away at the Gymnastics Trials on the vault and nailed her uneven bar routine despite a rhythm break and the skills not being as difficult compared to the other women. Her bean routine was clean and calm.
Hezly Rivera
Rivera is the youngest gymnast to make Team USA. At just 16-year-olds, she had a solid beam performance, scoring 14.275. Her uneven bar routine was a “big number” for the young gymnasts to help her make the team.
