Eastvale Roosevelt, St. John Bosco, Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, Harvard-Westlake, Concord De La Salle part of Nike Tournament of Champions featuring Hoophall West

For those anticipating a rematch involving the top two boys high school basketball teams in California at the Nike Tournament of Champions featuring Hoophall West, Eastvale Roosevelt and St. John Bosco are both scheduled to compete Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the inaugural event in Arizona, but not against each other.
Eastvale Roosevelt, led by MVP Brayden Burries, edged St. John Bosco 56-55 in overtime Monday night in the Platinum Division final at The Classic at Damien, a rematch of the championship game last season also won 68-65 by the Mustangs.
St. John Bosco (15-1) and Eastvale Roosevelt (15-1) are joined by another California power in Sherman Oaks Notre Dame (13-1) as part of a six-team, round-robin schedule at Highland High in Mesa that also includes Layton Christian Academy from Utah (7-6), Coronado High of Nevada (3-6) and Sandra Day O’Connor from Arizona (10-3).
There is also an eight-team Hoophall West bracket at Highland that includes Harvard-Westlake (15-1) and Concord De La Salle (12-0), in addition to Duncanville of Texas (8-3), Gonzaga College Prep from Washington D.C. (10-1), Christ the King of New York (4-3), Chaminade College Prep from Missouri (5-2), plus Arizona programs Perry (11-0) and Sunnyslope (8-5).
So Cal Academy from Castaic (4-4) is part of a pool-play schedule involving Non-Federation teams that also includes Faith Family Academy of Texas, Dream City Christian from Arizona and Utah Prep, including Brigham Young commit AJ Dybantsa.
California boys basketball programs are also represented in 12 of the additional 13 eight-team brackets as part of the Nike Tournament of Champions schedule, bringing the total to 31 teams from the state entered in the three-day showcase.
Corona Centennial (6-11), La Mirada (13-3) and Redondo Union (13-2) are part of the top division in the Saguaro Bracket, with all games scheduled at Skyline High in Mesa.
Campbell Hall (10-3), Santa Margarita (12-2) and St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy (9-4) are scheduled to compete in the Sonoran Bracket, also playing at Skyline High.
Sacramento Destiny Christian Academy (4-6) is in the Coyote Bracket, with Oakland Tech (9-2), Rancho Cucamonga (12-6) and Rolling Hills Prep (12-5) participating in the Jackrabbit Bracket.
Santa Barbara (10-3) and Anaheim Canyon (13-3) are entered in the Grand Canyon Bracket, with Bishop O’Dowd (5-3) and St. Francis (11-4) competing in the Camelback Bracket.
Cathedral Catholic (9-5) and Orange Lutheran (8-5) are in the Trailblazer Bracket, plus Oak Hills (10-4) and St. Anthony (6-4) entered in the Pioneer Bracket.
Arcadia (8-6) is the lone California entry in the Sunrise Bracket and Steele Canyon is the only team from the state participating in the Heatwave Bracket.
Sage Creek (6-6) and Vista Murrieta (11-3) are scheduled to compete in the Starlight Bracket, with Clovis East (11-3), Providence (6-6) and Victory Christian Academy (5-7) in the High Noon Bracket.
