HOKA Launches New Mafate X Trail Running Shoe Designed For Long-Distance Speed

Runners who love trekking the trails for long-distance workouts can now take their pace to new heights with the new Mafate X shoe.

Joining the company’s lineup of trail running shoes, the Mafate X brings comfort and speed to the forefront, allowing runners to go further and faster.

“The Mafate X is all about innovation and pushing past limits. We evolved our max-cushion trail experience to provide the confidence, control, and adaptability ultra runners require for their biggest trail efforts,” said Colin Ingram, Vice President of Global Footwear Product at HOKA.

The running shoe has a forked carbon fiber plate that cradles the foot to enhance stability when on the trails and increase propulsion for added speed. It is equipped with premium foam found in its dual-layer midsole to pack on plushness for that walk on the clouds feel, even when the miles mentally get hard. These features combined help enhance performance on on the trails so that runners can keep a steady, fast pace for long distance runners.

It also features HOKA’s Metarocker and Rearfoot-focused Active Foot Frame for added control. This feature is inspired by HOKA Skyward X.

The Mafate X also has a super-light woven upper for drainage and a super grippy outsole with pod-like cutouts for a smooth ride on the uneven and unpredictable trail terrain.

The zest color brings a pop of sunshine to the feet, making it a stylish, high-performance running sneaker.

First previewed at the Canyons Endurance Races by UTMB and in the Catskill Mountains this spring, consumers can now get their hands on the sneaker online and in stores for $225.
