Whether pounding the pavement for a road race, pivoting on pickleball court to get that point, or taking a hard tackle on the football field, athletes know the importance of having the right footwear to boost their performance. Just like recovery is as important as training, a recovery shoe is just as important when it comes to sports gear to have in our gym bags.
Designed specifically to help recover after physical activity, recovery shoes help reduce stress on the feet caused by repetitive impact from sports. Recovery footwear are equiped with shock-absorbing materials that help reduce discomfort and  pressure, specifically on the heel, arch, and forefoot. These shoes give your feet a break from rigid athletic sneakers or cleats, providing more circulation and muscle relaxation while still offering support when walking. Recovery shoes also reduce injuries like plantar fascia and Achilles Tendinitis.
Athletes should look at the arch support, amount of cushion, breathability, and how easy they are to slip on after practice, a meet or a game.
We did all the research to provide a list of the top recovery shoes available on the market for athletes.
