The camps were created to provide juniors ages 11-17 of ethnically diverse backgrounds the opportunity to improve their tennis skills in a camp environment with players of similar age and skills. This camp is NOT for beginners.
Geared toward intermediate* level players, the overnight residential camp houses participants in dorms on the San Jose State campus. Along with the camp participants, four coaches/chaperones will also be staying overnight. The 2018 camp will feature daily tennis instruction and match play with experienced tennis professionals; the latest in fitness and nutrition; college preparatory information; play analysis to improve strokes and techniques, tennis industry careers and life skills.
There will also be some fun night activities and a tour of the San Jose State campus. To conclude the camp, there is a parent session on the last day of the camp and will include informative lectures about junior tennis training, USTA financial resources and the tennis pathway.
The cost of the 3 night/4 day residential camp is $400 (training, housing and meals). Scholarships are available.
