JT Stinson, East Nicolaus Wrestling Senior Comes up Strong at CIT Invitational, Earns SportStar of the Week

JT Stinson, East Nicolas High School (feature photo red jersey) bumped up a weight class for the prestigious 81-team C.I.T. Invitational at Morro Bay High, Jan. 17-18. And he achieved remarkable results in the higher weight class.

The returning state medalist won five convincing matches, including three first-round pins and two technical falls (a 15-point lead mercy decision).
He won 16-1 in the tournament finals to take home gold. Stinson is ranked No. 1 in Northern California by Sportstars Magazine at 160 pounds. Stinson has committed to wrestle collegiately for Cal Poly.
