USA Softball of Sacramento, Superior Showcase Softball and Placer Valley Tourism are teaming up again this coming Labor Day Weekend for the USA Softball Pacific Northwest Invasion Showcase.
This Showcase will kick off with a camp on Sept. 1 at Foskett Park in Lincoln, and the tournament games will take place on Sept. 2-3 on fields at Foskett and Whitney Park in Rocklin.
At this USA Softball-sanctioned event, they are expecting nearly 100 ‘A’ teams from throughout the West Coast to compete. The tournament is open to age divisions 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U.
Director of Superior Showcase Softball Dan Pearson explained that these showcase-style tournaments really up the ante for many of the teams and players.
“A lot of these players are hoping to get recruited by a college that isn’t too far from home,” Pearson said. “By focusing on and bringing in heavy representation of Pacific Northwest schools from California, Oregon, Washington and Colorado they have a real shot at making their dreams come true.
“The camp on Friday is also a great opportunity for players to showcase their skills while college coaches are watching. … We set it up with rotational games and even put them through a college workout, so it is really an incredible experience for everyone.”
Registration is now open for this exciting event. Go to gfp.tournamentusasoftball.com to get your team signed up today!
