The fall volleyball season is quickly approaching, and players can look forward to an exciting experience coming out of a standout summer with the NCVA. The Northern California Volleyball Association (NCVA) announced a fun new Halloween-inspired event, along with the dates for fall tryouts and the start of the season.

NCVA Shined This Summer

This summer marked one of the strongest showings yet for NCVA’s High Performance program. For the first time since before COVID, the program fielded six teams —three of which traveled to Europe for international competition, while the other three proudly represented NCVA at the USAV All-Star Championships.
The High Performance program presented athletes with the opportunity to showcase  skills against top-level talent. Being able to compete internationally is a great way for players to grow their game, gain exposure, and build lifelong memories.

Club Fall Season Heats Up

The summer coming to an end marks the start of the fall club volleyball season. Currently, the girls’ 15–18 and boys’ tryouts are underway. Next up is the girls’ 11–14 age group, who have tryouts scheduled for October.
Fall tryouts with NCVA is a great way to join a new team, increase skill sets, and have fun playing the sport.

NCVA Announces Spike Fright

A new fall tradition is about to start this fall. The NCVA announced the debut of its new Spike Fright tournament.
This new event is designed to be “spooky and fun,” serving as a way for volleyball players to bond with their team and get competitive practice in. The tournament takes place on October 4 to 5 @theGrounds in Roseville.
Players can participate in the Spike Fright tournament costume contest for added fun. However, costumes are not required. The vision behind the event is to provide a relaxed atmosphere where fun is at the forefront. This tournament may just be the new fan favorite on the NCVA calendar.

The 2025/2026 Season

The NCVA fall season officially begins on September 1. The momentum from the summer and looking ahead to new events will make the 2025/2026 season the best yet.
