Hanabi means "Fireworks" in Japanese and its energy, brightness and excitement truly express the spirit of our judo. For almost half a century we have been a part of the Albany and Berkeley community developing not just champions but good people of strength and character. Hanabi's Judo and Japanese Culture Summer Camp is a fun, active introduction to the traditions of Japan. Every themed session will have children learning judo (a requirement in Japanese schools), Japanese songs, Japanese stories as well as the main artistic, linguistic or culinary activity. Each week, participants will receive certificates of completion and custom videos, featuring their activities, will be available. At Hanabi, learning is fun. We use both our bodies and minds to expand our abilities and experiences.
