Orinda Aquatics Swim Clinics* - SportStars Magazine
Orinda Aquatics is a nationally recognized USA Swimming team with a 30-year history of providing high-quality stroke instruction to competitive summer-league swimmers. Our clinics are designed to teach and develop fundamentally correct strokes and turns for each competitive stroke. The coaching staff has very strong and long-term ties to local “rec” clubs, high schools, and to USA Swimming. Info:

Clinic Requirements:
Strong 6 year olds to 14 year olds (based on age they will swim this summer 2017).
Must be able to swim 25 yards of freestyle with side breathing and have competitive swim team experience. (Clinics are for competitive swimmers. These are no Learn to Swim Clinics).
You must pre-register to enter the water. No walk-ins!

Please note that these clinics follow the requirements for the Contra Costa County Swim Meet and OMPA Swim League. Participation in ALL clinics will account for 3 hour and 45 minutes to clinic/lesson time (allowable off-season limit per swimmer for recreational swimming is 15 hours).

The motto of Orinda Aquatics, "Character First", is preached and lived daily by coaches and swimmers, alike. The overriding philosophy is that participation in youth sports can and should be a life enhancing experience and not an activity in and of itself. This program emphasizes structure, teamwork, integrity and discipline - the better the person, the better the athlete, the better the swimmer. It is the programs and the coach's objective that the benefits of swimming, and of Orinda Aquatics, go far beyond the pool.
