At Steve & Kate’s, we believe that when you trust kids, they develop the confidence to trust themselves, and learn to use their own judgment. So we built a summer camp that puts kids in charge. We focus on how kids learn, not just what they learn. We give them just the right amount of structure and guidance from adults, but never take away ownership of their work - even if the first couple batches of marinara sauce contain ambitious levels of garlic or the stuffed toucan looks a little bit like a dachshund.
The result is astonishing. Your child creates his or her unique camp experience, samples from a wide assortment of subjects and activities and, over time, finds him or herself deeply motivated and engaged.
