Final NorCal Softball Rankings. All records are through June 4.

1. (1) St. Francis-Mountain View (31-2)

CIF NorCal and CCS Open Division champ won its final 18 games and outscored opponents 310-39 to finish as region’s easy choice for top team. 

2. (3) Sheldon-Sacramento (28-6)

After starting season 4-3, Huskies went 24-3 the rest of the way to claim Sac-Joaquin Section Division I title and reach CIF NorCal Div. I semis.

3. (2) Archbishop Mitty-San Jose (26-5)

Monarchs went 26-2 when not playing WCAL rival St. Francis, reached Central Coast Section Open Division final and made the CIF NorCal Div. I field.

4. (4) Sutter (31-1)

Northern Section’s top squad rolled to CIF NorCal Div. III title led by senior Riley Wickum’s 25-1 record, 303 strikeouts and seven no-hitters.

5. (5) Heritage-Brentwood (24-4-1)

North Coast Section Div. I champion turned it on at the end, winning 16 of its final 17 games to earn its first section crown since 2007.

6. (6) Del Oro-Loomis (27-5)

Golden Eagles claimed SJS Div. II title with thrilling win over St. Francis-Sacramento and reached CIF NorCal Div. I semifinals.

7. (9) St. Francis-Sacramento (26-5)

Runners-up in both the highly competitive Delta League and SJS Div. II playoffs, Troubadours only losses came against teams that finished in NorCal’s final top 6.

8. (16) Lincoln-Stockton (27-5-1)

CIF NorCal Div. III champ bested red-hot Benicia to claim regional title after going a perfect 15-0 in the Tri-City Athletic League.

9. (19) Benicia (24-7)

Tremendous late-season push with wins over Marin Catholic-Kentfield, Vista del Lago-Folsom and Notre Dame-Salinas helped Panthers win NCS Div. II title and reach CIF NorCal Div. II final.

10. (7) Livermore (24-4-1)

EBAL champions lost only once in one of NorCal’s top leagues, then avenged that loss twice en route to league playoff title. 

11. (8) Granada-Livermore (26-5)

Livermore Stampede champs and NCS Div. I runners-up spent time at No. 1 this season thanks to wins over Sheldon and Heritage.

12. (12) Vista del Lago-Folsom (24-5-1)

Eagles claimed SJS Div. III title with late-season surge that included wins over Vanden-Fairfield and Central Catholic-Modesto.

13. (10) Vanden-Fairfield (20-1)

Perfect Monticello Empire League campaign, early season wins over Sheldon and East Nicolaus highlight memorable season for Vikings.

14. (15) Central Catholic-Modesto (27-5-1)

Valley Oak League co-champs outscored opponents 185-35 en route to SJS Div. III final, CIF NorCal Div. II semis.

15. (17) Folsom (20-6-1)

Tied eventual SJS Div. II champ Del Oro atop Sierra Foothill League standings, but beat rival Golden Eagles twice in three meetings.

16. (13) Notre Dame-Salinas (21-8)

Champion of the Pacific Coast Athletic League-Gabilan Division earned No. 2 seed in CCS Open field, and top seed in CIF NorCal Div. II playoffs. 

17. (14) East Nicolaus (29-3)

Northern Section Div. V champion lost competitive equity roulette in CIF NorCal playoffs but nearly shocked much larger Central-Fresno in Div. III semis.

18. (11) Elk Grove (21-7-1)

Junior pitcher Aissa Silva struck out 320 with a 0.54 ERA to establish herself as one of California’s top returning pitchers for 2023.

19. (18) Vintage-Napa (21-4)

NCS Div. I semifinalists went 11-1 to win Vine Valley League title, earned pair of highlight wins over NCS Div. II champ Benicia.

20. (20) Marin Catholic-Kentfield (22-4)

Unforgettable season will be remembered for epic four-game duel with MCAL rival Redwood-Larkspur, NCS Div. II playoff win in extra innings over Livermore.

21. (NR) Oakdale (26-3-1)

Mustangs averaged eight runs a game en route to 11-1 record in Valley Oak League and pair of SJS Div. III playoff wins.

22. (NR) Dixon (24-2-1)

Senior Lexi Coyle and sophomore Felesha LePenske combined for a 1.53 ERA in the circle and 23 home runs at the plate for the SJS Div. IV champion and CIF NorCal Div. IV runner-up Rams.

23. (NR) Aragon-San Mateo (18-6)

Arizona-bound Olivia DiNardo hit .606 with 14 home runs to help the Dons claim the Peninsula-Bay League title.

24. (NR) Pinole Valley (24-3-1)

Junior Kailani Tatro established herself as one of NorCal’s top two-way talents, hitting .512 and compiling a 1.48 ERA with 230 strikeouts for the TCAL-Rock champs.

25. (NR) Redwood-Larkspur (21-7)

Marin Catholic Athletic League regular season champs were led by senior pitcher Sadie Leonard’s 0.73 ERA and 318 strikeouts in 152.2 innings pitched.
