Runners looking for maximum energy return without sacrificing cushioned comfort no longer need to buy high-performance sneakers that commonly carry a hefty price tag. Instead, all athletes need are these running insoles.
Superfeet is helping athletes enhance their performance by supporting biomechanics with its Run Pacer insoles.
Unlike traditional stiff insoles, the Run Pacer was engineered to be an accessible, entry-level performance insole designed for young athletes, high school competitors, and runners trying performance insoles for the first time.
Built with the company’s SuperRev™ foam, the Run Pacer insoles are designed for fast energy return and long-lasting durability.

The insoles come in unisex sizing and are easy to use. Simply remove the sneaker’s existing insole and replace it with the Run Pacer. It’s recommended to line up the insole to the sneaker, trace, and trim if necessary for the perfect fit before inserting it into the sneaker.
The Run Pacer was tested directly with the Stumptown Club, one of the premier high school distance programs in Portland, Oregon.
“Run Pacer is a great example of why we confidently say that Superfeet is the most tested and scientifically validated insole on the market,” Superfeet CEO Trip Randall said. “The testing for Run Pacer happened both in the lab and under the feet of athletes — giving us insights into how people experience the product and how to make it better during the development process. The testing actually started for this project well before we had even defined it… using prototype samples to evaluate the supercritical SuperRev™ beads and how they performed underfoot in our on-site biomechanics lab.”
Runners reported arch support, responsive cushioning, and smoother landings. But the main selling feature was the springy step the Run Pacer provides.
Sports Stars also tested the Superfeet Run Pacer and agrees it’s a great product for extending the shelf life of running sneakers while working on speed and preventing injury when increasing mileage.

The Run Pacer has contoured arch support that works with the body’s natural biomechanics. The arch feels as if it’s being hugged to promote stability without feeling tight or strange inside the shoe. The arch support promotes the foot rolling onto the toes with footstrike. It guides the foot to improve gait and reserve energy needed for those long cross-country miles.
But it’s the foam cushion that’s the main feature here. The cushion provides both comfort and energy return. The responsiveness is comparable to Nike’s ZoomX foam. There’s a great bounce when running in these performance insoles, making an athlete feel lighter and faster on their feet. As a result, our legs felt fresh even coming back to running after a few days off. When running speed sessions, fatigue was delayed, and we felt encouraged to surge ahead with each springy step.
There’s ample soft cushioning that takes the load off pounding the pavement. This makes it a great choice for cross country season or for those training for a long-distance road race.
“It’s an insole for runners who demand performance from their footwear and are looking to get more comfortable and cushioned miles out of their shoes,” Randall said. “Whether it was for a new runner just getting into life on the roads, or under the foot of some of the top high school runners in the country, it was clear Run Pacer could go the distance.”
We felt like the insoles were almost slippery at first. However, with a little sweat during that initial run, this feeling subsided.
The Run Pacer insoles have maximum thickness, and while that’s great for comfort, it can be noticeable during that first run. They’re not bulky, but they can make the toes feel a little more cramped in the toe box if not cut down to the proper fit.

The concave shape around the heel hugs nicely, but if sneakers aren’t laced tightly enough, there can be a little lifting in the heel. Still, the cushion is king here, making it worth lacing again.
For just $44.99, the Superfeet Run Pacer is a worthy buy for those working on a PR for mid- to long-distance runs.
Superfeet also offers the Run Pacer Elite insoles for more propulsion for track runners.
