Brannon Martinsen had 18 points and seven rebounds, Brandon McCoy added 13 points and six rebounds, with Maximo Adams contributing 12 points and four assists for top-seeded Sierra Canyon in a 59-53 boys basketball victory Feb. 28 against No. 7 Harvard-Westlake in the CIF-Southern Section Open Division championship at Toyota Arena in Ontario.

The Trailblazers captured their third Open Division crown in program history, including the first since 2020.

Joe Sterling scored 18 points and Pierce Thompson added 15 points for Harvard-Westlake, which was seeking its second Open Division crown in three years.

The Trailblazers secured multiple victories in the same season against Harvard-Westlake for the first time in program history, including a 55-47 Mission League triumph Jan. 21 at Sierra Canyon.
