CYC wrestling is nationally recognized under the guidance of Head Coach Mark Halvorson. Since Halvorson took over the program in 1998, CYC has produced three Junior World Team members, one Junior Pan American Champion, 31 National Champions, 137 All-Americans, 49 Regional Champions and almost 200 State Champions.

In addition, CYC has won 58 age group team state championships. Halvorson is also the head wrestling coach at De La Salle High School, He and CYC's coaching staff have demonstrated the ability to build championship programs and train and prepare wrestlers who can compete at the state, national, and international levels.
