Diablo Futbol Club (DFC) Camps & Clinics!* - SportStars Magazine
Diablo FC is committed to instilling passion and enjoyment of soccer in a positive, safe, competitive environment. Our comprehensive club program and professional staff train players and teams in the mental, physical, technical and tactical aspects of soccer in order to reach their individual potential and compete at the highest level of play. We offer year-round play, teams and programs including rec and the highest-level competitive competition.

Spring, Summer & Fall Recreational Program: 
DFC Rec Program provides instruction from professional coaches in a fun and save environment. We teach intro to basic soccer knowledge, development of fundamental skills. Open to ages 3-10.
1 practice and 1 game per week. Registration includes Official DFC Club T-shirt!

Competitive teams: For U9 and older. Teams train March-December and play in competitive spring and fall leagues, plus tournaments in the summer.  

U8 Academy: Program runs April - January. Includes summer and fall rec program, plus additional academy trainings each week. Will have summer playdates against other local soccer clubs. In December and January the academy also plays Futsal.

Beginning in the summer of 2015, Zach Sullivan begins his reign of Diablo FC Director of Coaching. Zach Sullivan brings a wealth of experience to Diablo FC and has been a part of our Diablo FC Staff since 2011, most recently as the Assistant Director of Girls Teams - including a US Club Soccer West Regionals Championship, State Cup & Surf Cup Finalists, Nor Cal Cup - Premier Champions, and a NPL Championship with his teams over the past few seasons. In addition to Diablo FC Sullivan served as the Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Merritt College, since 2008. He received the Bay Valley Conference Coach of the Year Award in 2013 and took his team to the conference championship. Prior to Diablo FC, Zach spent time at Lamorinda United from 2009 - 2011 as the U11-U14 Technical Coordinator. He has a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology, from California State University, Chico.

While at Diablo FC, Zach has coached both boys girls teams. Most recently on the Girl's Side, while additionally serving as the Assist Girls Director and has been instrumental in aiding in the development of the DFC Girl NPL Academy Program (GU14 - GU19 Premier Teams). Zach currently holds a NSCAA Premier Diploma.

Richard is Diablo FC's Director of Boys Teams. Richard has been with Diablo FC since its inception in 2008. He originally served as the Diablo Valley SC Director of Coaching (2004-08), while moving into a multiple director roles with Diablo FC when began in 2008, including Director of Older Girls Teams, Director of Younger Girls Teams, and presently back on the Boy's Side serving as a staff coach and the Boys Program Director. Under Richard's guidance, the Diablo FC Boys Side continues to develop teams that compete in the Highest Level of NorCal NPL, developing players that continue their career both collegiately and professionally. In addition to his Director of Boys Teams responsibilities, Richard also serves our our DFC B13/14 US Soccer Development Academy Director and holds a USSF National 'A' Coaching License. Richard Weiszmann's playing experience began here in the Bay Area playing for UC Berkeley (1991-94) where he was twice on the NSCAA All-Far West Regional Team (1993-1994). His playing experience continued in NorCal until being drafted by and playing for the New England in 1996.

Scott is Diablo FC's Director of Girls Teams. Scott began this role in 2013, after serving as a staff coach & Director of Older Girls Teams earlier with Diablo FC (2010-2013). During this time, the Girls Side has continued to progress, with the older girls teams continue to compete in the top flights of NorCal NPL, with the older girls NPL Academy Teams consistently being ranked in the top 10 in Cal North. The DFC Girls Program continues to develop players to play at the highest level, with several players each year that continue on to play in college. He currently hold a NSCAA Premier Coaching License. Prior to joining Diablo FC full time, Scott was the Associate Head Coach for Saint Mary's College Women's Soccer (2009-2013). Scott came to Northern California after spending several years coaching college and youth soccer in So Cal with Cal State Fullerton Women's Soccer (Assistant Coach 2001-2003, 2005-2008) and Fullerton Rangers SC (2004-2009).

Marquis is Diablo FC's Technical Director. Marquis was previously with Diablo Valley Soccer Club for over six years in a variety of positions, including Director of Coaching. He is a former standout player for his alma mater University of San Francisco, Major League Soccer`s Colorado Rapids and New England Revolution, professional teams in Bolivia and Holland, and A-League`s San Francisco Seals (whom he led during their historic US Open Cup semi-final run in 1997 that included wins over MLS teams San Jose Clash and Kansas City Wizards). Marquis was Assistant Men's Soccer coach four [Marquis White] years at St. Mary's College and was a NCS Championship winning coach for De La Salle High School in 2001. His coaching experience also includes Liberty Union High, San Ramon Valley High, Westminster (CO) SC and Mustang Soccer. With our club Marquis has coached a variety of teams including Diablo FC 94, which won the 2008 Super Y-League North American championship in Tampa, Florida and the 2008 US Club Soccer Region G Super Group title in Boise, ID. His Diablo FC/DVSC Black Pearl 89 boys made it to the CYSA State Cup semi-finals three years in a row (U15-U16-U17) before reaching the 2008 finals during their U18 season. He got his Bachelor of Arts in Sports Administration from USF and his teaching credential at St. Mary's. Marquis and his wife Sharon have two daughters. He is a teacher at Heritage High School in Brentwood.

Brian is Diablo FC's Director of Youth Development and Community Outreach. With this, Brian is will head up our seasonal (Fall, Spring, and Summer) Diablo FC Recreational Leagues, Youth Winter Academy, and the Quakes RDS (U12/U14) Program.

Brian is Diablo FC's Director of Youth Development and Community Outreach. With this, Brian is will head up our seasonal (Fall, Spring, and Summer) Diablo FC Recreational Leagues, Youth Winter Academy, and the Quakes RDS (U12/U14) Program. In addition to his Diablo FC club duties, Brian was head varsity coach at De La Salle High School in Concord from 2003-2011. With Brian at the helm his alma mater won the 2003, 2005, 2009, 2010 and 2011 North Coast Section championships, the 3 titles in a row unprecedented for boys soccer in NC. In 1998 Brian was Contra Costa Times High School Player of the Year and then in 2003 he was named High School Soccer Coach of the Year by the same publication, the only person to ever win both honors, let alone for the same school (a feat he has now done twice as coach after also winning the award in 2009 as his Spartans won league and NCS titles in their first year in the powerhouse East Bay Athletic League). He was coaching director of Mt. Diablo Soccer League prior to the merger with DVSC. He played his club soccer at DVSC and then was a four-year letterman at Saint Mary's College, where he captained the team as a senior in 2002. Brian holds a NSCAA Premier License (Destinguished Pass), NSCAA Director of Coaching Diploma, Frans Hoek Director of Coaching Certificate, ACF Fiorentina Advanced Course Certificate, and NSCAA Regional GK Certificate. Brian currently teaches Physical Education at St. Perpetua School in Lafayette and has a Single Subject Teaching Credential in Kinesiology. Brian and his wife Lilly live in Concord with their son Santino and daughter Natalia.
