Headfirst! The most successful program in the Bay Area with over 500 tournament titles, 350+ to college baseball, and over 60+ selected in MLB Draft! The program focuses on player development and has a structure that starts at 8yrs. old and and continues until a player is in college.
A huge advantage of playing with Headfirst Baseball is that we are very well connected with college baseball. Though the process of playing in college is NOT a simple, efficient or convenient one, HF understands what it takes for you as a player. This includes exposure, with you playing in front of college coaches and beginning a relationship with the recruiters/schools (keeping in mind that it is VERY common in college baseball for coaches to switch schools). For this reason, we began running Headfirst Showcases many years ago, where we bring the schools to you!

Read BioIn the 1991 MLB June Draft, Michael was rated as the hardest thrower in the Los Angeles Dodgers entire draft as he was the fourth pick out of 100 players taken, topping out at 96mph. Iglesias passed on a full scholarship to Cal Berkeley to pursue his baseball dreams. Projected to be in the bullpen helping the Dodgers in a couple of years, injuries plagued six out of ten professional seasons. Michael learned that he never had a solid foundation, mechanics, or knowledge to protect his arm.
After two major arm surgeries, he began to study the arm with Dodgers team doctor and creator of the "Tommy John" surgery, Dr. Frank Jobe. Iglesias, began working with local youth players in camps and private lessons, teaching correct throwing and pitching mechanics to prevent injuries and get the maximum out of their bodies. Through correct mechanics, Michael has helped thousands of players reach their baseball goals and more importantly, stay off of the disabled list!
