Read BioShihan Ron has been involved with the martial arts for over 34 years. Inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame as a Master in 2001, he is recognized as a true student of the arts and an instructor second to none. A former Grand Champion of Hawaii in consecutive years, he is the embodiment of a champion, humble yet confident. He has a wealth of knowledge from his extensive training in the following systems: Karate, Aikido, Kobudo, Judo, Small-Circle Jujitsu, as well as Brazilian Jujitsu, Taekwondo, Aikijitsu, and Iaido. This has allowed the programs at USKS to evolve into a solid style that takes the best of each system and make it not only effective but easy to learn at any age, ability, or skill level. To “lead by example” is how he dedicates himself to training up the next generation of martial artists.
Joyce Krupa is a 5th Degree Black Belt and has trained alongside her husband in numerous Martial Arts over the past 30 years. She has also partnered with him in raising four sons, who are all Black Belts and very accomplished Martial Artist
