Play Rugby:

If you already play rugby, you might be on your way to college competition. But if you’re not playing yet, you just might want to start, and a good place to do that is right here — Rugby NorCal.

RNC is the governing body in Northern California, the largest youth & high school SRO (State Rugby Organization) in the country.

They have continued to experience rapid growth with new members.

Plus, new high school teams and new clubs joining every year since their founding in 2010.

Rugby NorCal is committed to making rugby fun, safe and available to every young athlete in Northern California. And an amazing thing about youth rugby is the number of scholarships divvied out annually.

Which leads us again to the current state of play, which our Sports Today counterparts, and eagle-eyed photographer, Alex Ho captured over the weekend.

While at the women’s rugby sevens tournament, Saturday, March 17. Teams from Cal, Stanford, Oregon State, Chico State and UC Davis competed. Pictured above, Chico State (red/black) battled UC Davis in the finals.
