Rated by Baseball America as the best pitching prospect in 2003, Foppert broke into the Giant's starting rotation in 2003 and was traded in 2005 to the Mariners along with Yorvit Torrealba for Randy Winn.
Jesse returns as Head Coach for the Marin Catholic Varsity Baseball team for his fifth season where he has led the Wildcats to two MCAL Championships and four NCS Division II appearances. For Foppert, a two time all-MCAL baseball player, a USF infielder and Major League Baseball pitcher, helping kids succeed on and off the field is what it's all about. Teaching lessons through baseball, like hard work, dedication, teamwork and attitude, coach Foppert knows first-hand how these fundamentals will serve them for life.
